Schedule a Private Tour
Scheduling a tour is the first step in our admissions process. A private tour provides an opportunity to explore our campus, ask questions, and see firsthand what makes our community unique. Simply click the link provided below to submit your family information. Once the form is received, a link will be sent to schedule your tour at a date and time that works best for your family. After account creation, log in and select “Create a New Student Application.” You can log in anytime to update or track your application, view supplemental forms, and monitor your child's admission status.
Eagle Visit and Assessment
The final step, once an application is received, is scheduling an Eagle Visit and, if applicable, a grade level assessment. Eagle Visits are required for all applicants, while Grade Level Assessments are specifically for students entering Kindergarten through Grade 8.
Eagle Visit
After applying to OSL, potential applicants will be required to visit campus for an observation. We offer three age-specific opportunities:
- Eaglet Exploration for preschool and pre-kindergarten,
- Eaglet's First Flight for Kindergarten; and
- Eagle for the Day for grades 1-8
This immersive experience provides an opportunity for potential scholars to fully engage with our community.
Assessment
We conduct our own grade-level assessments tailored to our classical pedagogy on campus. Scholars applying for Kindergarten will participate in a Kindergarten readiness assessment. Scholars applying for grades 1-5 will be scheduled to complete a grade-level assessment, while those applying for Logic School (grades 6-8) will take the Logic School Entrance Exam. These assessments help us ensure the best fit for their academic progress and expectations.
Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten
Applicants for preschool and pre-kindergarten will be invited to participate in Eaglet Exploration, a 45-minute session designed for our youngest eaglets. During this time, they will be welcomed into a classroom, meet teachers and potential classmates, and engage in both an academic lesson and play. This immersive experience provides a preview of the fun and classroom expectations at Our Savior Lutheran School.
Kindergarten
Eaglet's First Flight is a one-hour, one-on-one Kindergarten readiness assessment and interview for potential Kindergarten candidates. During this time, scholars engage in a multi-sensory assessment with an administrator, providing a comprehensive understanding of their readiness for Kindergarten. This is a wonderful opportunity to get to know the scholar better. Additionally, the scholar will have the chance to participate in a live Kindergarten class, experiencing firsthand what Kindergarten at Our Savior Lutheran looks like.
Grades 1-8
Applicants entering grades 1-8 are required to participate in an Eagle for the Day visit, which lasts the entire school day. This visit allows your scholar to interact with prospective classmates and experience a full academic day at OSL. They will attend core academic classes as well as ancillary subjects such as art, PE, and music, providing a complete experience of our school community.
Feedback and Next Steps
After the Eagle Visit and assessment, our educators will provide initial feedback to our admissions team based on their observations. Your scholar will also have the opportunity to share their thoughts and feelings about their time at OSL with you. Together, we will review the feedback and determine if Our Savior Lutheran School is the right fit for your scholar’s educational journey.
